We started working together with UNESCO’s International Bureau of Education (IBE).

The activities were carried out within the framework of Mr. Yao Ydo's mission.

On August 26th, an invitation-only meeting was held within the framework of the visit of Mr. Yao Ydo, Director of the UNESCO International Bureau of Education. Esteban Torre and Virginia Lozano, Education Director and Analyst, together with the Institutional Development area, organized the debate where Mr. Ydo and education specialist Renato Opertti made a presentation on the role of the curriculum in transforming education. 

They also spoke about the skills and competencies that education systems should promote so that young people can develop their life plans in the 21st century. 

The event was attended by representatives of UNICEF, British Council Argentina, Fundación Telefónica-Movistar, Techint, Samsung, Disney and Fundación Itaú. 

The Education program was sponsored by the Educational Innovation and Justice Laboratory (EduLab), a space for thinking, designing and making the future educational system maps a reality. 

On August 25th, the conference “Post-pandemic educational and curricular transformations: challenges for the region” was held together with the University of San Andres (UdeSA).

CIPPEC was invited to join the board of UNESCO’s International Bureau of Education (IBE). 

Within this framework, we attended the 71st Assembly of the organization in Geneva, where Ydo Yao, Director of IBE-UNESCO, presented the work plan and the 2022 budget. In turn, the members of the Council made contributions to outline the strategy for meeting the goals set.
