On its 20th anniversary, CIPPEC was once again distinguished for the third consecutive year as the best think tank in Argentina in the categories "National Economic Policy" and "Social Policy", according to the 2019 edition of the Global Go-To Think Tank Index.
CIPPEC was distinguished for the third consecutive year as the best think tank in Argentina in the categories “National Economic Policy” and “Social Policy”, according to the 2019 Global Go-To Think Tank Index Report.
Founded 20 years ago, CIPPEC is a nonpartisan organization that proposes, supports, evaluates and makes policies so that the country develops with equity and democracy. In 2019, its researchers produced more than 40 publications, including books, public policy documents, working documents and reports. Based on this knowledge, the organization carries out projects at the international, national, provincial and municipal levels, with government representation from all political parties. Its team is made up of more than 100 experts, including researchers and members of different institutional fields. The “2019 Global Go-To Think Tank Index Report”, prepared by the University of Pennsylvania, lists the best public policy centers by region, area of research and performance. In the 2019 edition, the report recognized CIPPEC as the second best think tank in Argentina, the fourth in Central and South America, and 47th in the world, based on 158 different centers found outside the United States.
In addition, CIPPEC was once again the best-managed think tank in Argentina in 2019. This means that it disseminates institutional decisions among all of the organization´s governance structure and fosters fluid communication between staff and directors, which generates mutual understanding, shared values and transparency. In addition, it manages to attract experts and involve them in the pursuit of the institutional mission, and seeks the constant training of personnel, through workshops and trainings.
Additionally, CIPPEC was distinguished as the best interdisciplinary research think tank in the country. It was also awarded as having the best working network with other entities, public relations program, media strategy (print and digital) and internet use.
With 227 institutions, Argentina is the Latin American country with the most think tanks and is fifth in the world, after the United States, India, China and the United Kingdom.
