CIPPEC leads the Future of Work in the Global South initiative

For that, in collaboration with partners around the globe, FoWiGS will be working to build evidence-based narratives on the future of work in developing countries.

During 2020 and 2021, CIPPEC leads the Future of Work from the Global South (FoWiGS) network, an initiative funded by the International Development Research Center (IDRC) that aims at understanding the implications of technological change on jobs, taking into account the specific contexts of developing countries and disadvantaged groups within these countries.

For that, in collaboration with partners around the globe, FoWiGS will be working to build evidence-based narratives on the future of work in developing countries.

The southern perspectives that the FoWiGS network brings to the discussion recognize that there is not a homogeneous Global South. Finding the specific building blocks of FoW for Asia, Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East, and North Africa is a first step in gaining granularity and helping to build a better future of work in Global South countries.

There are news coming soon in the project.
